New Product Post

New products this week:  New Arrivals

Staff Pick

Here comes the weekends, and we’ve picked two products for you. If you already have RPi or Galileo, they’ll be more useful with our choice this time.

USB Console Adapter for Intel Galileo

USB Adapter for Galileo_04

The Intel Galileo Development Board has a serial console port to access the boot-loader and Linux prompt. However, it is not easy to access this serial console because the connector is a stereo phone jack and the signal is the RS-232C level. With this console adapter, you can connect this non-standard serial port to your PC via USB.

We also prepared Galileo Dash Kit for you, helping you save $17 in getting Galileo & Grove Sensor Pack all in one.

Wolfson Audio Card

WolfsonAudioCard

If you already have a RPi, it’s time to have its own sound card. You can:

PLAY it

  • Play back High Definition audio files up to 24-bit / 192KHz
  • Stereo line-in and line-out ports to connect to your hi-fi system for sound playback and recording on the Raspberry Pi®, both 3.5mm line-out and digital S/PDIF output are accepted

TALK

  • Build a VoIP conference phone for your Raspberry Pi® using the two onboard MEMS mics
  • Connect a boom microphone and headset to make hands-free calls using VoIP telephony. both 3.5mm mic jack and a digital S/PDIF input are accepted

RECORD

Display: Big or Small?

The Beast – Shield Matrix

Shield Matrix

We love matrix! Shield Matrix is a stackable shield for Arduino Mega. It’s like a All-In-One LED Console. It can be controlled remotely by IR receiver. Wireless interfaces like nRF24L01 & Xbee are kept for your idea. You can use it as a Digital clock using the RTC and Buzzer. You can also make it Weather station using environment sensors adding to it.

The Beauty – Tiny I2C Char LCD – 5V

Tiny I2C Char LCD_02

This is a breadboard friendly, 2.54mm pitch, I2C controlled 8×2 characters LCD board for 5V microcontroller. It has the pull-up resistors for I2C bus in it. It’s a Switch Science product with the simple elegance from Japan.

Getting Connected: Far or Near?

Introducing YL-4432G – highly integrated wireless ISM transceiver module

433Mhz RF Module WT 4432G_01

It’s based on Silicon Labs Si4432 with several frequency range: 433/868/915MHz.

It features very low receive sensitivity (-121dBm/1200bps), coupled with industry leading +20dBm output power ensures extended range and improved link performance. Built-in antenna diversity and support for frequency hopping can be used to further extend range and enhance performance. Please review the corresponding area of the application.

433Mhz RF Module WT4432G

Introducing Near Field Communication

NFC, stands for Near Field Communication, which is a set of short-range wireless technologies. It’s behind daily applications such as access control system and mobile payment system.

Galaring

GalaRing is based on NFC. Or we say it variant from tag, which is more suitable for daily wear with Waterproof . Besides, there is No need to recharge it.

You can embed the identification, unlock programs, check privacy images, and quickly recall commonly used passwords to copy and enters. Everything is so natural and perfect.

The ring comes in M and L size. Please check the size and applicable phone models.

Grove – NFC

grove nfc

Finaly, NFC comes to Grove system.

Grove NFC features a highly integrated transceiver module PN532 which handles contactless communication at 13.56MHz. You can read and write a 13.56MHz tag with this module or implement point to point data exchange with two NFCs. Grove NFC is designed to use I2C or UART communication protocols, and UART is the default mode. In addition, we assign an independent PCB antenna which can easily stretch out of any enclosure you use, leaving more room for you to design the exterior of your project.

Grove NFC supports P2P communication. If you seek for better size NFC, we also suggest Xadow NFC, it supports reading/writing tags, phone-to-Xadow NFC communication, tag emulation at this time, it’s a 3-in-1 all-star.

Max operating distance for detecting NFC tags is 28mm, which depends on current antenna size.

NFC Antenna

The 120 mm NFC Antenna is also in stock. It has an IPX/U.FL connector and can be used by NFC Shield V2, Xadow NFC and Grove – NFC.
