Join us for discussion with HARMAN design team in Shenzhen ( JBL Pulse 2 and more…)

Hey, we will visit the Harman office and meet their Shenzhen Design Team today to discuss about potentials of designer as makers for audio product development. Want to join us? The Shenzhen office is the headquarter of design for lifestyle audio category such as harman/kardon, JBL, AKG, Lexicon and Revel, covering industrial design, user interface, and packaging design. Wenkin, an engineer working in the design team to bridge the skills set, tries to bring maker DNA of rapid prototyping using Arduino and Processing into the team. He is one of the creators for JBL Pulse 2 bluetooth LED speaker. Interactive LED panel, color capture, movement trigger, all these sound like projects you can see in hackathons but Wenkin and his team manage to integrate these elements into consumer goods with overwhelming success for young people.

Now he would like to invite more designers to get on board. Our discussion will focus on how to inspire more designers to become makers by understanding engineering to facilitate the design process, with open source hardware and digital fabrication?
