As always, we’ve been busying ourselves with making the long-awaited improvements you have been asking for. Now we are proud to announce the recent fruits of that labor in the form of more information, more features and more options.

Order Breakdown

More order details are now available from the comfort of your Order History. Forgotten the estimated lead time? Need to compare the PCB Assembly price breakdown? See it directly in the shopping cart and Order History.

Brand New Suspended Order Communication Platform

This was a big one. Many of you have given us feedback on the way suspended orders are dealt with, i.e. how we communicate and resolve problems reported during Design for Manufacture (DFM) review phase.

We hope we never have to put a stop to your order, but around 25% of all PCB orders will have some sort of problem that causes the order to be delayed or suspended. Whether it’s incorrect parameters, insufficient data or design errors, every problem needs to be communicated to the customer and resolved. Previously, this was all done via direct e-mail communication but the unreliability of electronic mail left much to be desired. So, at long last, we are proud to announce the new online DFM communication platform.

Now, communicate directly to operatives via your Order History page.

Advantages:

  • E-mail dunked into the spam box? Entered the wrong e-mail address? Go straight to your Order History to find the details and take action. A notification and confirmation e-mail will still be sent to you whenever an update is received.
  • Black and white multiple-choice answers minimize misunderstandings and lets you know what your options are.
  • Not enough info? You can still leave messages to operatives in a little chatbox.
  • Personal operative on va-cay? Fear not, another operative will have all previous exchanges on record and will take care of your order.

At the moment, we are still in the Beta phase so bugs may be present and traditional e-mail communication may still be used.

Wire Transfer

Now, for business and educational institutions users, Wire Transfer/Bank transfer/TT option is now available via the order check-out directly. No need to contact our customer service to confirm payment. Just select the wire transfer option, submit the order and arrange the payment with your bank. Then, upload proof of payment via your order history and your order will be on its merry way. (Available for order value greater than $200USD).
