2.8'' TFT Touch Shield

Boy, I'm confused! I have the Mega 2560 CPU board and the 2.8" (320x240) lcd display. The documentation is lacking clarity. I cant find any documentation on how to connect the LCD display to the Mega 2560 CPU. I can not figure out what pins on the CPU board to plug the display onto??

Hi Bill.For mega/mega2560 , you should change the 33 line "#define SEEEDUINO" to "#define MEGA" in the TFT.h file

None of the examples will compile on my Arduino UNO because the LCD screen is not defined. For example, shapes.ino generates these errors: shapes.ino: In function 'void setup()': shapes:36: error: 'Tft' was not declared in this scope shapes.ino: In function 'void loop()': shapes:44: error: 'Tft' was not declared in this scope Where and how should Tft be declared?

Don't worry about it. Something like that:" 'touchscreen' does not have a type",that means you have your libraries in a wrong path.Please check it again. ......arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TFT ......arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TouchScreen Any question please let's know. Good luck!

I'm having issues sending a counter (type int) to the Screen. Any suggestions?

Hi Darryl, the existing function can only display type char data. See(http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/2.8%27%27_TFT_Touch_Shield_V1.0#Text). So you could use char replace of int type, or convert int type data to char array.

I am wanting to use this screen with an arduino uno + Ethernet shield. Does anyone know how to use all three together. its fine with just the arduino + screen, also the arduino + Ethernet shield. but i believe when i start the Ethernet connection the two (screen and Ethernet shield) bump heads. any advice would be REALLY appreciated!

Hi Jordan, 2.8'' TFT Touch Shield has used most of the Arduino pin include SPI pin for Ethernet Shield to communicate with Ardunio, so they cannot work together. Suggest you to use 2.8'' TFT Touch Shield V2.0 in your project.
