Is it possible to use this programmer in Windows 7 x64?
It worked in Windows XP, and it's working in Linux (using avrdude), but it's completely not working in Windows 7, because of problems with drivers for PL-2303HX chip.
I've tried a lot of "solutions", but nothing helps. It seems it's just impossible to use this programmer in Win7.
" you can upgraded its firmware,in upgrade firmware Completed,it can work at a higher version of the AVR Studio and to be able to support more device"
How!?
Hi,i'm sorry this a Simplified version of programmer,so you can't upgrade its firmware. We have updated our introduction, sorry for that.
Concerning the post below, I am now sure there is no problem with PL-2303 drivers. They are installed successfully from the latest version available at http://prolificusa.com/pl-2303hx-drivers/ .
The problem is there is no way AVRStudio 4.13, 4.19 or even 6.0 to recognize that board. Please Seeedstudio: - provide a way to do so or stop telling it is STK500 compatible. It seems I have wasted my money!
Hello, sorry for the late reply. What is the COM port you are using for AVR Programmer ? After installing pl-2302-driver, please choose the right COM port when you connect AVR programmer to PC.

Thank you for answering, but not matter COM you choose, it is impossible to establish connection. BTW, driver is working correctly, therefore I insist that the device is not recognized as a STK500 compatible. So there is no way to use it with AVRStudio (both 4.13 and 4.19), at least using Windows 7.
