Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy - BLE Shield

Hello! What's the difference between this module (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/bluetooth-40-low-energy-ble-shield-p-1255.html) and this other one (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/bleshield-based-on-bluegigas-ble112-module-p-1367.html)? Other than the price, of course!

Hi! I purchased a few days ago this BLE-Shield http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/bluetooth-40-low-energy-ble-shield-p-1255.html?cPath=132_134 What's the difference with this one? I am asking because i see a double price. I am really new to arduino and your help would be most welcome.

Is it backward compatible with BT 2.0 or older device?

For example, could you stream music or videos from an iPhone 4s to this shield to be processed by the arduino it was attached to?
