Compared with the Electronic Brick system, the Grove System uses only 1 type of cable, (the Electronic Brick system uses 4). These cables are compatible with all modules included in the Grove system.
Are the horizontal headers available for these cables? Also, what is the pitch?
The pitch is 2.0mm. Please check here:http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/grove-universal-4-pin-connector-90%C3%82%C2%B0-p-790.html?cPath=156_158

Ugly, expensive and only one length. I wish seeed picked a standard wire for their twig system so we could build or buy our own wires, e.g. telephone cable.

Wiring color is totally wrong compared to your sensors and other wires. Also, you can't yet extend them, and they're pretty short. Plus, a fairly hefty price.

Many of the twigs are sensors, so the option of longer cables as well as connectors for custom cabling would be very helpful for applications where the sensors need to be several feet from the Stem Shield.
