The #twatch is an ethernet LCD backpack that connects to
Twitter and scrolls the latest
trending topics and related tweets. It can also display PC system stats from programs like LCD Smartie. Constructed from files and firmware posted by DangerousPrototypes.com. Programmed with the latest firmware and bootloader.
This is the assembled twatch PCB only, NO LCD,
click here for the twatch with an LCD. The twatch has small components (0805, SSOP) and tight placement, this is an assembled board that doesn't require soldering.
The picture shows the DangerousPrototypes.com hand-soldered prototype, the manufactured version may differ slightly in appearance. You can
vote on the PCB color. Like the prototype, C12 and C13 are unpopulated.
The Twatch will begin shipping around October 10, 2009. The preorder isover, but we made a few extra if you missed out.
