Relay shield

New to Arduino and shields. Just got your relay, I figured out how to control the relay from the Arduino program. But what if I want to put a light sensor or a button as an input? My instruction card says i have 4 digital pins that control the 4 onboard relays, but when I connect a wire to one of them and program the Arduino to read it nothing happens. I have grnd and 5v going to breadboard, with a switch, even an led to make sure its getting power and it is... but when I hit the button, I get nothing. Now, if I hook the wire from the button to port 3 on the 315/433 RF section, and press the button, the relay triggers and works, but that is not the port my arudino is programmed to so I'm assuming I hotwired something for that to work. Any suggestions?

My Ehternet Arduino uses Pin4 for the SD card. Can I re-route the relay to use another pin besides 4 for its D3 s oi can use the SD?

Hi.The schematic of v1.3 is almost the same to v1.0. And NC1--digital 7,NC2--digital 6,NC3--digital 5,NC4--digital 4.

Which pins does this shield specifically NOT use and what is the easiest way to access them (specifically the analog pins)?

Hi.If you just use the relay shield without using RFBee,there are 4 digital pins would be occupied(digital 4 to digital 7).And you can use Base Shield as a transfer board.
