Heart Rate Sensor and Arduino

Hey friends,
I bought a hearth rate sensor for my senior(http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/Grove-Earclip-Heart-Rate-Sensor-p-1116.html) Project from seedstudio.I am trying to get data from sensor by using arduino.However in the examples,grove-base shiled was used.I really wonder that is there way to use this sensor without grove-base shield? if there is,which pin of Arduino do I need to use get data?

I will be grateful,if you help me to solve this problem.

Sure, you can use it without base shield, you need to connect the signal line of the grove cable to digital pin 2 (D2).
