Easy enough to use, but you'll have to modify or write your own library for more capabilities such as landscape mode. My only real problem, and it's a big one, is that the shield physically occupies the entire board and covers up all of the pins.
OK, here's my solution....Sparkfun Screwshield on bottom (Seeedstudio Screwshield should work, too), Arduino Pro stacked on Screwshield, then 2.8 TFT stacked on top of Arduino. Programs fine. I like the Arduino Pro because it has a battery connector. Just plug my 3,7v LiPo battery in and I have a nice portable development platform. Only caveat is that you must have long header pins on your Arduino.
