As an updated version of Grove - Light Sensor 1.0, the Grove - Light Sensor v1.2 is also aimed at measuring light levels, however with higher reliability and sensibility. It is an analog module and outputs various electrical signals which can be converted to different ranges (It depends on the Analog-to-Digital-Converter on your controller board. For example, it can output 0-255 for an 8-bit ADC). It integrates a high-sensitive and reliable phototriode, and just like other grove modules, it is interfaced with Grove port which can save you a lot of work in the wiring.

A cube with all the necessary sensors, suitable for a wide range of applications like agriculture, monitoring, ,etc.
I would like to share my first steps with the Grove 'plug & play' components. This is primarily a Light Sensor.
En esta lección vamos a aprender a conectar y programar el módulo sensor de luz de GROVE.Thanks Javier Martinez provide this lesson for introduction to Seeeduino with Grove Starter Kit.

The Grove - Light sensor integrates a photo-resistor(light dependent resistor) to detect the intensity of light. The resistance of photo-resistor decreases when the intensity of light increases. A dual OpAmp chip LM358 on board produces voltage correspond
Hi Scott, It is available now. We feel your pain, the in stock notification function will be available soon. Regards
Hi, I've bought this sensor. I'm reading the analog values of the sensor and the max read is 738. Is it possible to have a table where you map analog values with lux? Because at the following link http://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-Digital_Light_Sensor/ I did not find anything about it
