I just received the LTE CAT.1 Pi HAT (LARA-R203 AT&T) and it doesn’t seem to communicate via USB. The device doesn’t enumerate as seen using lsusb or generate any messages on dmesg when plugged in. From the description, it sounds as if the LTE CAT.1 can use the USB interface to act as a USB LTE modem. Is this the case? If so maybe my unit is faulty? If this device can only use the UART for data transmission would this not be an unnecessary bottleneck for a high speed LTE modem?

Hi there, I use raspberry pi and it can detect the device. **pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb Bus 001 Device 005: ID 1546:110a U-Blox AG**. We also can use the windows to detect. **http://wiki.seeedstudio.com/LTE_Cat_1_Pi_HAT/#faq**. If you can not detect the device, do you use a 4 wire usb cable? can the cable transfer data, please? thanks.

Which model will work on US T-Mobile bands? The R202 shows it supports bands 2,4,5, & 12 -- all of which T-Mobile supports. The R203 drops band 5. T-Mobile also supports 66 and 71, so I imagine it's maybe a coverage issue only? Or is there more to it than that?

Hi there, we can see from datasheet **https://github.com/SeeedDocument/LTE_Cat_1_Pi_HAT/raw/master/res/LARA-R2_DataSheet_(UBX-16005783).pdf** that the r202 not only supports LTE bands 2,4,5,12, but also support UMTS bands 850, 1900. R203 only supports LTE bands 2,4,12. thanks.
