Some years are measured in months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some in milestones.
This one was measured in workshops, blinking LEDs, first-time model deployments, curious questions, and that unmistakable moment when someone realizes: \u2018Wait\u2026 I just ran AI on this tiny board?\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025, as a Seeed Ranger<\/strong>, was not just about teaching TinyML or IoT.
It was about planting ideas<\/strong>, lowering entry barriers<\/strong>, and turning curiosity into confidence<\/strong>\u2014one hands-on experience at a time..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the story of that journey, from the first ignition spark to the final showcase on Makerfaire Shenzhen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 2025 \u2014 IGNITE: Where It All Began<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every journey needs a starting point.
For 2025, it was IGNITE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop marked the first major step of the year\u2014introducing students to TinyML<\/strong>, edge intelligence, and the idea that machine learning doesn\u2019t belong only in data centers. It belongs on the edge<\/strong>, on microcontrollers<\/strong>, in the hands of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using XIAO ESP32S3 Sense<\/strong> and Grove Vision AI V2<\/strong>, participants trained, deployed, and tested their very first TinyML models.
For many, this was their first interaction with AI that wasn\u2019t abstract<\/strong>\u2014it was physical, tangible, and alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IGNITE wasn\u2019t just a workshop.
It was a signal: this year is going to be different.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 2025 \u2014 TinyML Meets Young Minds<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A few days later, the journey continued into another classroom filled with curiosity and excitement..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Sobhana Public School, TinyML was introduced not as a complex technology, but as a story<\/strong>\u2014how machines can \u201csee,\u201d \u201chear,\u201d and \u201cdecide,\u201d even with limited resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students watched models respond in real time, asked fearless questions, and imagined futures where AI solves everyday problems.
This session reinforced a core belief of the year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earlier we expose students to technology, the more naturally they innovate with it later.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

April 2025 \u2014 From Ideas to Prototypes<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

April was about building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Co-Create Program<\/strong> by the MACE IoT Club<\/strong>, the workshop moved beyond theory and into hands-on creation. By working with the XIAO ecosystem<\/strong>, participants experienced how small yet powerful modular hardware can accelerate the journey from an idea to a functional prototype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wasn\u2019t about polished final products.
It was about iteration<\/strong>, experimentation<\/strong>, and the confidence to say:

By mid-year, IGNITE returned\u2014this time at St. Augustine\u2019s Girls Higher Secondary School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a refined structure and deeper hands-on focus, students trained models using SenseCraft AI<\/strong>, deployed vision models, and experienced how AI behaves on low-power devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excitement was immediate\u2014and contagious.
Students experimented even before instructions were complete, proving something powerful:

August 2025 \u2014 Evoke 2025: IoT on Display<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

August was different.
This wasn\u2019t a workshop\u2014it was a celebration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evoke 2025<\/strong>, a student-led IoT hardware expo at MACE, brought together 40 teams from across Kerala<\/strong>, each showcasing how IoT can solve real-world problems\u2014from healthcare to agriculture to automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsored by Seeed Studio<\/strong>, Evoke transformed classrooms into exhibition floors and ideas into conversations.
It was proof that students don\u2019t just learn faster when given the right tools\u2014they build bolder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 2025 \u2014 Two Days. Countless Breakthroughs.<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Event Dates:<\/strong> September 19\u201320, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there was a turning point in the year, this was it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Takshak\u201925<\/strong>, MACE\u2019s annual tech fest, a 2-day immersive TinyML & IoT workshop<\/strong> brought together students from multiple colleges for a start-to-finish edge AI journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Day 1:
    TinyML fundamentals, Teachable Machine, SenseCraft AI, vision models on XIAO and Grove Vision AI V2<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day 2:
    Arduino basics, hardware control using inference results, and audio-based TinyML with Edge Impulse<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Students built models capable of detecting keywords<\/strong>, vehicle movement<\/strong>, and even gunshot-like sounds<\/strong>\u2014all running on compact, low-power hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A special highlight was the session by Alison Yang<\/strong>, Seeed Studio\u2019s Community Manager, who shared insights on TinyML, IoT, and Maker Faire Shenzhen<\/strong>, sparking global curiosity in a local classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For many participants, this workshop wasn\u2019t just educational\u2014it was direction-defining<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
