We are working toward our first test units, which are expected to be available in early 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe the most useful industrial AI wearable should be shaped by the people who will actually use it: developers, engineers, industrial teams, and technology partners. It is an AI interface built for frontline technicians and workers \u2014 worn on the job, not carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2.7 billion<\/strong> deskless workers \u2014 roughly 80% of the global workforce \u2014 still work without an AI interface built for them. That is the gap Seeed is building reGoggles to close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conventional industrial vision systems rely on fixed cameras observing the production environment from the outside. We worked through many versions \u2014 structure, port layout, how it sits on the head \u2014 before it took the shape it has today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Behind those shells sits most of the work: the chip architecture, hardware-level synchronization across the multimodal streams, a working audio\/video streaming path, the expansion interfaces, the detachable lens design, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">reGoggles is a working device, not a concept: first-person visual capture, multimodal recording, and data transmission all run end to end. Our engineering team is still polishing the final details \u2014 appearance, specifications, and parts of the feature set. The device is not finished yet, and it will keep changing as Early Builder Program participants bring in real-world scenarios. The secondary chip handles audio and Bluetooth connectivity, and its firmware is not open source, but we do provide open interfaces so you can integrate it with your own applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What about<\/strong> <strong>battery life<\/strong><strong>, and how is it charged?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The power design supports external power input and hot-swapping, so you can use your own charging equipment to extend capture sessions. We are also developing a neck-worn power pack for greater convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Does the SDK support audio and video streaming to a phone over Wi-Fi or<\/strong> <strong>BLE<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SDK supports audio and video streaming. When streaming over Wi-Fi, due to power consumption and heat generation, we recommend limiting the streaming duration and resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Does it support<\/strong> <strong>AR<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not in the current version. Later versions may add a display function. Whether AR will be supported is still under evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is the main chip?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use a dual-chip architecture: Allwinner V881 as the main chip and Wuqi-Micro WQ7036AX as the secondary chip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can I wear my own prescription glasses and put reGoggles on the outside?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. The current structure fully supports wearing your prescription glasses underneath reGoggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe the next breakthrough in industrial AI will come from devices frontline workers can truly see through and use. reGoggles is still on its way, and we invite every interested developer, engineer, and industry partner to join us in making it a
