Good news! Massimo Banzi, David Cuartielles, David Mellis and Tom Igoe, co-founders of Arduino, have announced that BCMI has acquired 100% ownership of Arduino AG\u200a\u2014\u200athe corporation which owns all of the Arduino trademarks.<\/p>\n

\"1-waFbtPJP-1rwy-O6KyQdIA\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Following the acquisition, Mr. Massimo Banzi will become the new Chairman and CTO of Arduino. Dr. Fabio Violante will be appointed as the new CEO.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the beginning of a new era for Arduino in which we will strengthen and renew our commitment to open source hardware and software, while in parallel setting the company on a sound financial course of sustainable growth. Our vision remains to continue to enable anybody to innovate with electronics for a long time to come,\u201d said Mr Banzi.<\/p>\n

Two years ago, we were happy to announce the strategic partnership<\/u><\/a>\u00a0between Arduino LLC and Seeedstudio. SeeedStudio manufactures and distributes Arduino LLC products using the new Genuino brand in China and other Asian markets. The new name certifies the authenticity of boards, in line with the open hardware and open source philosophy that has always characterized Arduino.<\/p>\n

As an in-depth partner, the entire SeeedStudio team is incredibly excited for Arduino, and we heartily congratulate the Arduino team on the successful acquisition.<\/p>\n
