<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nIt will be consist of 4 weeks (April 1~26, 2019), the first 2 weeks will be in Shanghai, and the second 2 weeks will be in Shenzhen. You can apply to participate in the whole 4-week course, or only participate in the first 2-week course in Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Design, development & fabrication of physical mechanisms<\/li>
- Integration of multiple materials & media to create interactive objects<\/li>
- CAD design & fabrication: use of Rhino, 3D printers, CNC & laser-cutters<\/li>
- Basic programming (Arduino\/motors\/sensors\/LED strips, etc.)<\/li>
- Integrate traditional manufacturing with new technologies<\/li>
- Experience with different materials<\/li>
- Presentation and communication with an international audience<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

- Collection of local resources to construct & design future consumable products.<\/li>
- Delving into theory and practice of IoT connected devices.<\/li>
- Rethinking IoT connected device methodologies.<\/li>
- Understanding & experiencing speculative design & design fiction methodologies.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Week 3 & 4<\/h6>\n\n\n\n- Explore production facilities \/ processes \/ critical design methods for imagined futures.<\/li>
- Design objects to be produced in China as prototypes for future productions that could be elsewhere.<\/li>
- Fabrication.<\/li>
- Documentation and archive of new objects.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
