With the release of Ubunutu 19.10, many Raspberry Pi users are excited as Canonical has announced that it will provide official support for the Raspberry Pi 4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cWith the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, developers get access to a low-cost board, powerful enough to orchestrate workloads at the edge with MicroK8s.\u201d<\/em>

During Ubuntu 19.10 announcement, said Canonical
<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

However, currently, the Ubuntu 19.10 only offer official support for the Raspberry Pi 1GB and 2GB versions. This is due to a kernel bug which causes USB ports not being supported out of box in the official arm64 image of the Raspberry Pi 4GB RAM version. Ubuntu have identified the bugs and fixes and are currently testing these fixes extensively, so users do not have to worry as updates will most likely come in a few weeks time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can users do? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Ubuntu released a temporary solution for users who have a Raspberry Pi 4 GB which enable the USB to work. Users will have to edit the file \/boot\/firmware\/usercfg.txt<\/strong> to limit the RAM to 3GB instead of 4GB by keying this following code: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
