But before we can install the drivers, here are some things you need to prepare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/USB-3-1-Type-C-to-A-Cable-1-Meter-3-1A-p-4085.html\">USB 3.1 Type C to A Cable 1 Meter &#8211; 3.1A<\/a>: To connect your computer to a serial adapter.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/6-pin-dual-female-jumper-wire-300mm-5-PCs-pac-p-128.html\">6 pin dual-female jumper wire &#8211; 300mm<\/a>: To connect your serial adapter to Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driver Install<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Windows\/Linux<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For Windows and Linux,  the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/USB-To-Uart-5V-3V3-p-1832.html\">USB To Uart 5V&amp;3V3<\/a>  is compatible with the serial application program in computer endpoint Windows operating system. So technically you don&#8217;t have to download driver, you can follow these steps instead:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Plugin the USB serial adapter using a USB cable. <\/li><li>Wait for it to be connected and find &#8220;USB-Serial Ch340 (COM9)&#8221; in Device Manager:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/files.seeedstudio.com\/wiki\/USB_To_Uart_5V_3V3\/img\/CH340_Driver.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case where you cannot find it, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wch.cn\/download\/CH341SER_ZIP.html\">here<\/a> to download the driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mac OS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For Mac, you&#8217;ll have to install the driver <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wch.cn\/download\/CH341SER_MAC_ZIP.html\">here<\/a> before you can proceed.
