Hackers and makers\u00a0are always up to some\u00a0crazy\u00a0things. After almost four years trying to simplify the design flow\u00a0of\u00a0building electronics stuff,\u00a0a small team of hackers\u00a0launched a free, zero-install,\u00a0web based EDA tool suite, integrating powerful schematic capture, mixed-mode circuit simulation and PCB layout in a seamless cross-platform browser environment, for electronic engineers, educators, students and hobbyists.<\/p>\n

Sounds interesting?\u00a0Well, why not check out\u00a0http:\/\/easyeda.com\/editor<\/a>?\u00a0Please\u00a0be patient on your first visit though:\u00a0because\u00a0EasyEDA<\/span>\u00a0includes a large component library,\u00a0you need to give it 5 seconds to load the editor. After that though it only takes a second to open it again on later visits.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a few early adopters giving the tools a serious shakedown, over 1,500 users have now joined EasyEDA – with many more using EasyEDA in Anonymous Mode – to produce a total of more than 10,000 designs from which, so far,\u00a012<\/b>\u00a0designs have been completed with PCB orders from us. All of these users have told us they are\u00a0satisfied both with the software and with the high quality of the PCBs\u201dsays\u00a0founding member, Dillon He.<\/p>\n

Seeedstudio<\/a>\u00a0is also proud of this, because all of the PCBs are fabricated by Seeedstudio Fusion PCB service. There are lots of newbie makers who don\u2019t know how to create the correct set\u00a0of\u00a0Gerber files in some of the more established EDA tools. \u00a0In EasyEDA, you just don\u2019t need to\u00a0know anything about how to do this because,\u00a0when you\u00a0complete your\u00a0PCB layout, just click the\u00a0\u00a0\"esaydea-2\"button, fill\u00a0in\u00a0your address and a few other details\u00a0and once you accept the email quote that you\u2019ll receive and make your payment, you will get your PCBs a few days later. \u00a0If you want to order PCBs\u00a0from any\u00a0other PCB manufacturer<\/a>, you just need to click the Gerber button \"esaydea-3\"\u00a0to download a zipped archive of the Gerber files and\u00a0email them to your chosen supplier.<\/p>\n

It\u00a0really is that\u00a0easy.<\/p>\n

EasyEDA allows users to build private projects but it is the\u00a0perfect\u00a0tool to build\u00a0Open\u00a0Source\u00a0Hardware projects. EasyEDA\u00a0has some\u00a0very impressive ways to share projects with others.<\/p>\n

A New Zealand maker, Boz, found\u00a0EasyEDA\u00a0<\/a><\/span>from\u00a0EasyEDA web based design tool\u00a0<\/a><\/span>post\u00a0a couple months ago and now he just can\u2019t stop making products using EasyEDA!\u00a0We list some of his open source projectsbelow.<\/p>\n

Many customers of Seeedstudio use Eagle or Kicad to build projects. Want to try EasyEDA but don\u2019t want to start your next project from scratch? Well, the good news is that you can import your libs to EasyEDA. EasyEDA even supports importing Eagle (V6+) schematic and PCBs.<\/p>\n

\u201cEasyEda is good enough for hackers, I think I would have difficulty going back to\u00a0Eagle or KiCad now so it will be my main tool.\u201d\u00a0says\u00a0Boz.<\/p>\n
