We have some exciting news to share with you today. Three of Seeed Studio\u2019s products now work natively with ESPHome<\/a> (with products officially listed on ESPHome website as Sensor Components and Display Component)! These products are the 24GHz mmWave Human Static Presence Sensor, the mmWave Human Detection Sensor Kit, and the SenseCAP Indicator. It means ESPHome provides out-of-the-box integration and support for using these 2 mmWave sensors, and the display. This integration means enhanced ease of use and flexibility, shorter development time for all users, as ESPHome\u2019s open-source firmware allows for seamless customization and automation of your IoT devices. For those who own these products, it opens up a world of possibilities for creating personalized smart home solutions through YAML configuration, rather than writing custom code for each components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mmWave Human Detection Sensor Kit<\/a> is a ready-to-use, open-source kit that can detect human presence and it is powered by Seeed Studio\u2019s XIAO ESP32C3<\/a>. It supports WiFi\/BLE connectivity and the onboard mmWave sensor, based on the FMCW technology, offers accurate privacy-focused human detection. The onboard Human Presence sensor is replaceable with other Seeed\u2019s mmWave series for heartbeat detection, fall detection, etc which makes this kit very flexible. It seamlessly connects grove modules for added features. With native ESPHome support, users can easily set up the device for Home Assistant<\/a> within 1-2 minutes. The native ESPHome support also means that users can take advantage of ESPHome\u2019s powerful features, such as its easy-to-use dashboard and extensive customization options, to tailor the mmWave sensor kit to their specific needs. It also supports wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, making it easy to keep the kit up-to-date with the latest features and improvements. The 24GHz mmWave Human Static Presence Sensor<\/a> is a member of the mmWave sensor series that joined the series a year ago. It is antenna-integrated, health-friendly mmWave radar sensor that applies Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) ranging technology. It can detect human presence, stationary, speed, distance, and also proximity, meeting various needs for different scenarios. It has configurable parameters, a visualization tool, a 5m detection range, and a 90\u00b0 horizontal detection beam. Now it supports ESPHome, this allows you to use the sensor as part of your home automation system, providing a smooth way to connect your devices to the Home Assistant. It can be used in variety of applications such as automated outdoor lighting, automated door opening, office energy management and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
