{"id":9972,"date":"2014-09-01T11:53:59","date_gmt":"2014-09-01T03:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/?p=9972"},"modified":"2014-09-01T18:37:42","modified_gmt":"2014-09-01T10:37:42","slug":"happy-6th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/01\/happy-6th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy 6th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Birthday, Seeed!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,<br \/>\nit was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,<br \/>\nit was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,<br \/>\nit was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness,<br \/>\nit was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair,<br \/>\nwe had everything before us, we had nothing before us,<br \/>\nwe were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;\u00a0A Tale of Two Cities<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the past year, We had grown a lot while gaining media attention.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a 100+ team into a big family with 180+ members.<\/li>\n<li>we occupy the 4th and 5th floor, the STU is move to 2nd floor<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/2014\/05\/14\/new-look-on-bazaar-alpha\/\" target=\"_blank\">a fresh new look of website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>lots of new equipments for our mini tech space<\/li>\n<li>introducing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.seeed.cc\/\" target=\"_blank\">seeed.cc<\/a><\/li>\n<li>updating chaihuo 2.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We still push forward open hardware and maker culture.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In April, we co-organized and sponsored the\u00a0<a title=\"Permalink to Maker Faire Shenzhen 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/04\/maker-faire-shenzhen-2014\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Maker Faire Shenzhen 2014<\/a>, which is featured with additional conference &#8211; &#8220;Innovate with China&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>In May, we attended Maker Faire Bay Area, joining\u00a0MakerCon<\/li>\n<li>In July, we went to\u00a0Maker Faire Hannover<\/li>\n<li>In August, we designed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/high-tour-shenzhen\/\" target=\"_blank\">high tour shenzhen<\/a>, guiding Japanese makers get to know the factories, electronic market and\u00a0Haxlr8r.<\/li>\n<li>In August, we supported\u00a0<a title=\"Permalink to Seeed x OHSummit2014!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seeedstudio.com\/blog\/2014\/08\/25\/seeed-x-ohsummit2014\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">OHSummit2014!<\/a><\/li>\n<li>We held two local workshops every month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you so much for the great support, dear customers, partners, cooperated designers, distributors and many others in the open hardware community.
