  1. Great image, clear display

This is a good lil display. Works just fine for me. (Buttons and all) The protector was a bit to get off & the instructions not really provided for assembly. (Saves on the time for looking it up.) But other than that this LCD, works just fine for me.

  2. Great image, but fatally flawed

    First the good:
The picture is beautiful. It's sharp, great color, excellent backlight.

But the display has issues. As others have reported, the buttons don't do anything.

My unit had serious problems being able to be powered on. There was no pattern. Sometimes it would come on right away when plugged in. Sometimes I'd have to unplug it a couple of times to get it to come on.

I tried numerous USB power supply sources. It worked a few times being powered through the HDMI cable from my Pi. But mostly it didn't. I'd get a display, but no backlight.

After a couple of days of futzing with it, now it won't power on at all.

Depending on the return policy here, it's going back, or it's going in the trash. Which is a shame. $80 is a lot to spend on a paperweight.

  3. Nice but has some flaws
    Rating

I purchased this display based on it's price, form factor, and features.

Leading with the cons, the display claims 3 buttons (power, increase brightness, decrease brightness); none of them work.

I now have two of these displays, and neither of them respond to button presses.

On the plus side, the "sandwich-style" frame is well designed and constructed, and the display is bright, crisp, and clear. The image quality is fine for my project.

For my project I decided that I could live with the failure of the buttons to function, but it would have been much better if the product was fully functional as advertised.

  5. Very clear display (10.1" IPS)

I found this display to be nice and clear and has a very wide viewing angle. Would have given it 5 stars except it came with the screen protector still installed and you have to disassemble the screen (take off the front bezel) to remove that protector. Long term I think it would be useful to have a laser cut poly carbonate screen cover as I can see this getting a lot of finger prints very quickly.

  • The additional items includes “raspberry pi mounting screws”. Where on this display would the Pi be mountable?
Question by: Austin Ewens on 2019-03-17 05:10:52

Hi Austin, You can see four mounting holes on the back that match the mounting holes on the Raspberry Pi. You can mount the Raspberry Pi to the back using the matching screws.

  • 1980 x 1200 seems an unusual resolution. Is it possible this is a mistake and it is 1920 x 1200?
Question by: Virtual Insanity on 2019-01-30 01:32:09

Hi virtual, you're right, it's 1200x1920. We've fixed the mistake.
