The Electricity sensor module is based on the TA12-200 current transformer which can change large alternating current into a small amplitude. You can use it to test large alternating current upto 5A.
Grove compatible interface
Maximum 5A input
Alternating current measurement
Device condition monitoring
For all Grove users (especially beginners), we provide you guidance PDF documents. Please download and read through Preface - Getting Started and Introduction to Grove before your using of the product.

Hi,It can measure the current of wire.this output is the current of wire.with a happy day~
I'm using this sensor to detect current. But something is wrong. If my device goes on, it takes 150mA, if not then 0mA. I can measure it using AV-Meter. If I use this sensor with the demo code, it shows me only the changes (0mA then 150mA then back to
Just got answer from techsupport : This sensor is only for AC current and NOT for DC current.
I bought this device, but i don??t know how i can measuring the current, somebody could help me, please.
Hi, view the WIKI. There are demo code for the sensor, upload to Arduino or seeeduino board and plug to the right pins then you can use Arduino IDE monitor the value.
Looks like a great component, I have never seen current transformers this accessible. But, is this available with other input values? This one is 1000:1 (5A/5mA), but 100:1 (500mA/5mA) and smaller may also be useful to measure smaller AC currents accur
Not available yet.We will consider adding that later.
How would be this conversion formule with 3,3 Vcc and 12 bits ADC:
I'm using a different platform of Arduino with other microcontroller ( TI cc2530) and I want to use this sensor with my platform. My platform uses a cc2530 SoC and it has a 12 bits ADC and uses 3,3 V as VCC. For that, I need to adapt the
Hi there~Yes, you can,Regards
Hi there, please drop mail to email@example.com and provide the hardware connection pictures and the code. thanks.
