What is CT sensors
Current transformers (CTs) are sensors that are used for measuring alternating current. They are particularly useful for measuring whole building electricity consumption (or generation for that matter).
The split core type such as the CT in the picture above, is particularly suitable for DIY use it can be clipped straight on to either the live or neutral wire coming into the building without having to do any high voltage electrical work.

Hi what is the maximum cable length that can be used with this to link multiple PV inverters together to monitor the outputs from both Both CT sensors will be used in Arduino based open monitoring system to read power production against grid usage
If you choose the current output one then a very long cable length can be used (many tens of metres). This principle is used in 4-20mA loop systems. Just provide a suitable load resistor at the Arduino end.
