Wiki of Protoshield Kit for Arduino
I'm using an Arduino Uno r3 with a Seeed Ethernet Shield. I would like to use the protoshield as well. How do you recommend configuring the protoshield to be used in this configuration? And would I stack the Protoshield on top of the Ethernet shield or
Hello, thanks for your interest in our products. The Protoshield is not compatible with Ethernet since the SPI female header connector could not connect Protoshield to Ethernet Shield. We will sell female to male header later later, you could get this
As multiple people have stated, the HEADER LAYOUT IS WRONG. You cannot plug this into an Arduino Uno and you cannot plug standard Arduino shields into this board. UNTIL THEY FIX THE HEADER LAYOUT, DO NOT BUY!!

I got the v1.0 of this board from radioshack. I soldered a header to the I2C footprint and wired my circuit only to find that it would not work. After checking with a multimeter I discovered that the VCC and GND lines to the I2C, UART and ISP footprint

Like many others, I walked out with version 1.0 as an impulse purchase at RadioShack. No problem with the headers... I'm not trying to stack it. One curious thing is that the I2C block GND isn't connected. (Nor is GND in UART block)

My observations regarding the header alignment. There are two sets of holes used to mount headers. One set (the yellow line in the pic), on both left and right sides of the board, is in the correct position and aligns correctly to plug into the Ard
Either Seeed fixed the alignment problems or everyone else here is just doing it wrong. I had no trouble soldering the headers into the board, the result is a nice and snug fit.
I just put mine together, and sadly the header/stacking issue is troublesome. I rarely stack shields on top of each other, so it's not a big issue for me, but Seeed really should fix this problem because this board is really nice and a killer price fo
