Soil moisture is the water stored in the soil. Soil temperature is the warmth of the soil. Soil electrical conductivity (EC) is the level of salts in soil (salinity). When there is a high soil salinity, the salt will make it difficult for the plants to consume water even though there is a high moisture level in the soil. This will ultimately "burn" the plants.
