The Relay Shield utilizes four high quality relays and provides NO/NC interfaces that control the load of high current. Which means it could be a nice solution for controlling devices that couldn’t be directly controlled by IIC bus. Standardized shield form factor enables smoothly connection with the Raspberry Pi . The shield also has four dynamic indicators show the on/off state of each relay.

    Circuit lacks any form of power supply bypass-capacitors at both the +5V and +3V3 rails, causing trouble when driving multiple relays with semi-inductive loads at the same time. I used this to switch a contactor and multiple solenoid valves but nearly every switch-cycle the IO-expander became unreachable on it's I2C interface (used power supply = 5A max). I've bodged on some 1uF capacitors and since then it worked flawless. Also, the dimensions of this board are based on a Pi 1 B, it will not fit in casing for a Pi 2 or 3. I also doubt how 'high quality' these Chinese unobtainable relays really are. 1/5 stars, would not recommend this board to anyone.
