Step 1

Version and setup

• Device connection: Connect reTerminal Sticky with a USB data cable and use desktop Chrome or Edge.
• microSD card required: Insert a microSD card before first boot. CrossPlay stores game saves, player identity, books and flashcard decks on the card, and the Sticky does not ship with one. Without a card the firmware stops at an SD card error screen.
• Reading is unchanged: The CrossPoint e-reader is kept in full. CrossPlay adds apps and games alongside it rather than replacing it.
• Controls: Touch throughout. The two side keys page the shelf and the reader, and the shared Confirm/Power key confirms on a click and sleeps on a hold. Back is a left-to-right swipe from the left edge.

Step 2

Flash to device

Both modes verify and write the complete firmware package described by the selected manifest. Full flash erase only runs in the erase mode.
