Step 1

Version and setup

An offline e-reader with flexible typography, Chinese vertical typesetting, and touch controls for reTerminal Sticky.
  • Connect and install: Connect reTerminal Sticky with a USB data cable and use desktop Chrome or Edge. Install the complete image at offset 0x0. Back up settings before installation: this full image replaces the internal firmware, fonts, and filesystem.
  • Prepare your books: Copy DRM-free books to a microSD card using a card reader, insert it into Sticky, and open a book from the file browser. Wi-Fi file management is also available. Sticky does not expose a USB mass-storage drive.
  • Firmware license: The firmware binary is public and may be used and redistributed freely. Source code is not provided. Third-party components remain covered by their respective licenses. See LICENSE.txt in the Registry entry.

Step 2

Flash to device

Both modes verify and write the complete firmware package described by the selected manifest. Full flash erase only runs in the erase mode.
