Developed by Semtech Corporation, LoRa® technology is a wireless protocol designed specifically for long-range, low-power communications. It become the de facto wireless platform of IoT applications，such as energy management, natural resource efficiency, pollution control, infrastructure efficiency, and disaster prevention. Since 2018, we have been developing a number of LoRa®-enabled products – covering modules, MCUs and devices.
To better support the protection of Semtech’s LoRa® trademark, we decided to follow Semtech’s LoRa® Logo Usage Guidelines, as there have been some wrong usages. To be more specific, some of our product names will be changed/updated accordingly. The products with updated names are demonstrated in the following table, which serves as a guide for you to avoid any possible confusions.
What’s important to remember is that this product name change will be applied on PCB screen printing, product labels, and the outer packaging of the product. Temporarily, the new product name written on the web pages can be inconsistent with the one on the boards, labels, owing to the fact that they were manufactured before the new name change. Nevertheless, rest assured that all the product functions and usage will remain the same.
Thank you again for your always support.
As always, we can’t wait to see what you‘re tinkering around lately. Shoot us a tweet @seeedstudio, or let us know on LinkedIn, Discord, or publish your project on our Project Hub on Hackster. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we’ll see you next time!
