BACKGROUND
Latin America’s industrial infrastructure runs on decades-old equipment that keeps the modern world moving — control panels, electrical meters, variable frequency drives, and proprietary building management systems that operate in isolation, invisible to the people who need their data most. While the IT ecosystem races toward AI, the plant floor remains in the 20th century.
LogOS was built to close that gap. Its modular platform connects existing OT systems — without replacing them — and delivers real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and operational intelligence directly on Seeed Studio edge hardware. The result is a living data layer that turns analog installations into intelligent assets.
RedSalud’s facilities across Santiago, Molinera del Rey’s production plant, and the UC School of Engineering selected LogOS for its ability to integrate with legacy infrastructure without disrupting critical operations, its infrastructure-agnostic design that works with virtually any industrial equipment on the market, and its edge-first architecture that guarantees sub-second response and full availability regardless of internet connectivity.
CHALLENGES
Legacy OT Ecosystems
Each facility operated a patchwork of industrial equipment from different manufacturers and eras — meters, PLCs, actuators — with no unified way to see or act on their data.
Fragmented Operations
Every building functioned as a data island. Without centralized visibility, technical teams depended on physical inspections and manual logs to detect anomalies or energy waste.
Critical Uptime Requirements
Clinics and food production plants cannot afford to depend solely on cloud connectivity. Decision-making must remain local and instant — any network disruption must be invisible to operations.
Multi-Site Scale
RedSalud manages multiple buildings across Santiago. The solution needed to be replicable, standardized, and centrally manageable without requiring specialists at every location.
Untapped Operational Data
Millions of data points were being lost every day across all facilities — no collection infrastructure meant no history, no trends, and no foundation for AI-driven decisions.
SOLUTION
At the core of each deployment is the Seeed Studio reComputer R1100x, acting as the local brain of the installation. It connects directly to existing industrial equipment — regardless of brand or age — and feeds real-time data into the LogOS platform without any changes to the facility’s physical infrastructure.
The reTerminal DM serves as the on-site operator interface: a ruggedized 10.1″ touchscreen panel installed in the control room, giving technicians instant visual access to the entire facility’s status without needing internet connectivity. For AI-intensive workloads — anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, consumption forecasting — the reComputer AI R20xx handles all inference at the edge, enabling autonomous responses before an issue escalates.
Every user-facing feature of LogOS is built around what operators actually need: a live dashboard with sub-second refresh, smart alerts delivered over WhatsApp and Telegram, automated energy reports, interactive single-line diagrams of the electrical installation, and a 3D Digital Twin that gives non-specialist staff an intuitive view of their facility’s health.
Dashboard Overview
FIELD LAYER
Existing industrial equipment — meters, panels, PLCs, actuators — from any manufacturer, connected without replacement or modification. LogOS is fully infrastructure-agnostic.
EDGE COMPUTING
reComputer R1100x acts as the local intelligence hub. It ingests data from the field, runs analytics in real time, and sends alerts or control commands — all without cloud dependency.
AI INFERENCE
reComputer AI R20xx runs predictive maintenance and anomaly detection models on-site, enabling proactive responses to critical events before operators even notice a problem.
LOCAL HMI
ReTerminal DM (IP65, 10.1″ touchscreen) gives control room operators direct, always-on visibility into the installation’s live status — ideal for clinics and production floors with restricted internet access.
OPERATOR DASHBOARD
LogOS web interface provides a unified real-time view across all sites — live readings, smart alerts, energy trends, single-line diagrams, and the 3D Digital Twin. Accessible from any device, anywhere.
CLOUD & REMOTE ACCESS
Secure encrypted remote access lets managers and engineers monitor any installation from headquarters, with full historical data retention and automated reporting delivered on schedule.
RESULTS
▸ Zero Infrastructure Replacement: LogOS connected to all existing equipment across every facility — regardless of brand, age, or type — with no hardware changes required on-site.
▸ Centralized Multi-Site Visibility: A single dashboard shows the live status of every installation. RedSalud’s teams now react 60% faster to critical incidents thanks to intelligent alerts delivered directly to their phones.
▸ Energy Optimization in Production: Molinera del Rey monitors electricity consumption per production process in real time, continuously identifying inefficiencies and reducing energy waste across the plant.
▸ Scalable, Replicable Architecture: The modular design allows rapid expansion to new buildings and new device types. RedSalud is scaling toward 70+ facilities under a single centralized account.
▸ 3D Digital Twin: An interactive digital replica of each installation gives facility managers and non-specialist staff an intuitive, visual way to understand and act on their operational data.
▸ Faster Development for Partners: LogOS edition dashboard enabled Taleselek (energy solutions) to build and deploy digital systems for their own clients 80% faster, establishing LogOS as a development platform for industrial integrators.
“We are giving the power of analysis, prediction, and voice to the machines and processes that hold the modern infrastructure world together.”
