From Theory to Reality: Join Workshop in Munich to Experience reBot Arm Now!
Hey innovators, makers, and future robotics legends!
The era of Physical AI is here, and the barrier to entry has never been lower. At Seeed Studio, we believe the best way to learn is by doing. That’s why we’re launching our Global Physical AI Workshop Partnership Program, a global initiative to empower local communities with the tools, knowledge, and hardware to master robotics.
We are thrilled to announce that OpenELAB, based in Munich, Germany, has officially joined us as our City Co-Host! Together, we’re demystifying robotics, one workshop at a time.
Meet Our City Co-Host: OpenELAB

Located in the heart of Munich’s tech scene, OpenELAB is a vibrant hub for innovation driven by technology and community. As our official City Co-Host in Germany, they are committed to:
- Tech-driven: Delivering cutting-edge, hands-on technical content.
- Community Growth: Hosting local workshops and meetups to nurture local developer ecosystems.
- Full Workflow Practice: Bridging the gap between simulation and real-world hardware.
With OpenELAB on board, participants gain access to expert-led sessions and a supportive network of like-minded peers.
📚 Recap: What We Built in Munich

Last month, Seeed Studio and OpenELAB co-hosted the first leg of this exciting journey. It was a full-day deep dive where around 20 lucky participants got their hands dirty with the reBot Arm.
Instead of just theory, attendees explored the complete robotics workflow:
- Assembly & Calibration: Building the hardware from scratch.
- Operation & Control: Learning to command the arm.
- Data Collection: Gathering real-world data.
- Model Training: Diving into AI and embodied intelligence concepts.
It was a massive success, proving that when you put real hardware in the hands of developers, innovation happens instantly.
🚀 Sneak Peek: Next Stop, Robotics Fundamentals!

Are you ready to turn mathematical equations into visible motion? OpenELAB is back on August 29th for the next exciting chapter, and this time, we’re going deep into the core of robotics: Kinematics.
🤖 Workshop Spotlight: Robot Kinematics
This isn’t just another lecture. This is where theory meets the real world. You will explore:
- Coordinate Frames & Poses: Understanding how robots see the world.
- Forward & Inverse Kinematics: The math behind movement.
- Robot Modelling: Using Pinocchio for advanced modelling.
- Interactive Visualization: Seeing your code come to life in MeshCat.
- Hardware in Action: Finally, testing your algorithms on a physical reBot Arm.
Event Details:
- 📅 Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
- ⏰ Time: 14:00 – 18:00
- 📍 Location: OpenELAB, Parkring 5, 3. OG., 85748 Garching b. München
- 👥 Who it’s for: Robotics developers, engineers, students, makers, and AI enthusiasts.
