Description
The kit provides the components needed to implement a smart trash can IoT system. Including LinkIt ONE development board, Grove Starter Kit for LinkIt ONE, 125kHz RFID reader, ultrasonic Sensor. The smart trash can IoT system makes the garbage collection system smart and cloud-linked. The system saves fossil fuel and transportation costs by optimizing waste collection routes, and contributes to energy conservation and environmental protection.
Amol Disale provided us with a tutorial on implementing a smart trash can IoT system. The smart trash can emits sonar waves to understand how many things are in the bin and measure its temperature and humidity. The data collected by the sensors are sent and analyzed via the cellular network (GPRS). The analysis results are displayed on the Ubidots network platform and the garbage truck driver plans an effective route. The system uses RFID to monitor citizens' garbage trucks, which helps optimize the garbage disposal process. This saves fossil fuels and transportation costs, and contributes to energy conservation and environmental protection.
Before officially starting this project, you should prepare the listed LinkIt ONE development board, Grove Starter Kit for LinkIt ONE, 125kHz RFID reader, Ultrasonic Sensor, lithium ion battery, jumper and other components.
