Since the launch of the Seeed Ranger Program in 2023, we have seen something powerful happen: when the right tools reach the right local people, technology travels much further than any single company or team could take it.

Since its early days, Seeed has been more than a hardware company.

We have been building an open innovation ecosystem around makers, developers, educators, researchers, engineers, and creative communities around the world.

Our community members have:

• Introduced new technologies to students and makers
• Connected Seeed with local communities
• Helped us understand how technology is being used in different parts of the world

Among them, Rangers have played a particularly important role.

2. What Is the Seeed Ranger Program?

The Ranger Program was created to empower passionate members of the community to become local ambassadors for Seeed.

4. Meet the Pioneer Program

From Community Contributors to Local Tech Catalysts

The Pioneer Program is the next step for experienced Rangers and community members who want to create deeper impact in their local communities. A Pioneer Mentor is not simply someone who promotes Seeed.

They are a Local Tech Catalyst.

Someone who can connect:

Technology + Community + Education + Real-World Applications

Depending on their experience and interests, Pioneer Mentors can:

• Host technical workshops
• Deliver educational programs
• Demonstrate new technologies
• Provide basic technical guidance
• Help organizations explore technology solutions
• Develop local PoCs
• Connect Seeed with potential partners
• Support solution deployment as their capabilities grow

5. What Does a Pioneer Do?

The Pioneer Program builds on the community spirit of the Ranger Program while opening new paths for education, technical enablement and local ecosystem building.

1. Run Workshops

Pioneers can learn and deliver structured technical courses through the M0–M5 learning pathway, covering technologies and applications across open hardware, AI, IoT, robotics and more.

You may start with a small workshop for a local maker community, then gradually develop the capability to deliver more advanced training for schools, universities, organizations or industry partners.

2. Represent Seeed Locally

The role Rangers have played in local communities continues.

Pioneers may represent Seeed at maker events, conferences, hackathons, university activities, workshops and other relevant local opportunities.

We want people who understand their own communities better than we ever could from headquarters.

3. Build a Local Node

A Pioneer can eventually grow beyond individual activities and help build a sustainable local technology node.

Our long-term vision is a global network of 4S local nodes:

Solution — Support — Service — Survey

These nodes can help local users discover solutions, access technical support and services, while continuously bringing local needs and insights back into the Seeed ecosystem.

Pioneers with access to a Fab Lab, makerspace, university lab, studio, training center or other physical venue may also have the opportunity to develop their space into a future Pioneer Base.

4. Bring Local Insights Back to Seeed

Pioneers are also our eyes and ears in local communities.

What are developers building?

What problems are schools trying to solve?

What technologies are local companies exploring?

What products are difficult to use?

What new applications are emerging?

Through project feedback, user interviews, technical content, use cases and community observations, Pioneers help us better understand what is happening locally — and help shape what we build next.

🎓 Learn — Structured Training & Certification

Pioneers will have access to structured training through the Chaihuo Academy and Seeed ecosystem.

Starting from M0 and progressing toward more advanced application levels, the learning path is designed to help you move from understanding hardware to confidently teaching, demonstrating and applying technology.

Qualified participants can receive official Pioneer certification, recognizing their training and demonstrated capabilities.

As the program develops, additional technical certification pathways may be introduced for Pioneers who want to grow toward technical support and solution delivery roles.

🛠 Build — Hardware & Early Technology Access

Learning works best when you can build something real.

Qualified Pioneers can receive or apply for hardware resources to support workshops, demonstrations and local projects.

The initial M0 hardware resources may include products such as:

• XIAO ESP32S3 Sense

Selected Pioneers may also receive opportunities to explore newer Seeed technologies for relevant workshops, courses, demos or community projects.

Pioneers may also receive access to CodeCraft, Seeed’s AI-powered hardware programming assistant that helps turn natural-language ideas into runnable code for supported hardware.

Hardware support may be provided through different models — including project sponsorship, demo loans, discounts or dedicated program kits — depending on the activity and region.

Being a Pioneer should mean more than receiving a title.

Qualified Pioneers can be featured on the global Seeed ecosystem map, showing their location, technical focus, capabilities and local activities.

Depending on contribution and qualification, recognition may include:

• Pioneer digital badge
• Featured projects and community stories
• Co-marketing and PR opportunities
• Invitations to selected Seeed and community activities

This allows other makers, educators, partners and potentially local organizations to discover who can help them in their region.

Our goal is not to turn community members into salespeople.

We believe the way people build hardware is changing.

AI is lowering the barrier between an idea and a working prototype. Natural-language programming and AI-assisted development are making hardware creation accessible to many more people.

At the same time, Physical AI is bringing intelligence out of screens and into sensors, robots, machines, environments and the physical world.

This creates a new opportunity for local communities.
