Description

Micro:bit is a pocket-sized microcontroller designed for kids and beginners learning how to program, letting them easily bring ideas into DIY digital games, interactive projects, and robotics. You can use your BBC micro:bit for all sorts of cool creations, from robots to musical instruments – the possibilities are endless.

You can code, customize and control micro:bit to bring your digital ideas, games, and apps to life. Measuring 4cm by 5cm, and designed to be fun and easy to use, users can create anything using micro:bit, from games and animations to scrolling stories at school, at home and on the go - all you need is imagination and creativity.

The BBC micro:bit has a lot of features and is completely programmable. It means that each of its LEDs can be individually programmed as can its buttons, inputs and outputs, accelerometer, magnetometer, and Bluetooth Smart Technology. It has 25 red LED lights that can flash messages and two programmable buttons that can be used to control games or pause and skip songs on a playlist. BBC micro:bit can detect motion and tell you which direction you’re heading in, and it can use a low energy Bluetooth connection to interact with other devices and the Internet.

This is the ideal option for makers to get started creating BBC micro:bit projects and inventing solutions (requires a USB cable for programming purposes, and a battery holder & 2x AAA batteries to power your BBC micro:bit if not connected to your computer - sold separately).
