This is a multifunctional Arduino/Seeeduino/Arduino Mega compatible resistive touch screen. It can be used as display device or sketch pad.Compared with the previous version, 2.8’’TFT Touch Shield V1.0, we replaced the screen driver with a more professional chip, ILI9341 driver, providing different pin-saving SPI communication without sacrificing the data transmitting speed. Due to the communication method change, programs developed for the original version need modifications before being transplanted to the new version. With a SD card module integrated also on this shield, this shield reserves great room for other expansions to your project.
Big screen for easy and comfortable experience
Backlight controllable via programming
65535 rich colors display
SPI pin-saving communication method
Full screen touch active range
Wiki of 2.8 TFT Touch Shield V2.0
How do i get this to work for arduino uno, i have the v2.1 tft display and i canot find any sketches thatll work for it
Sorry for that unconspicuous access of wiki, please visit this wiki : http://www.seeedstudio.com/wik...
Hi, is it correct that the '2.8" TFT Touch Shield V2.0' is using the following pins of the Arduino Uno r3 or are there any more (like ICSP) pins used? Pins: D4, D5, D6, D7, D10, D11, D12, D13, A0, A1, A2 and A3. Kind regards, Johannes...
Hi,Johannes Glaser,Pins are using:D0,D1,Pins Used for TFT Screen Control(D4,D5,D6,D7),Pins Used for SPI Interface(D10,D11,D12,D13).Pins Used for Touch Function(A0,A1,A2,A3).----D2,D3,D8,D9 are free.with a happy day~
Hi. I've got a project that I'd like to use this with - only need to display bmps. With the images stored on the card, could I use a mini or micro to control this display?
Hi,Roland Blais,of course, you can jump line to connect them, and use our library to control this display. How to jump line:you can refer our wiki demo that connect with seeeduino.with a happy day~
Is there a way/support to display animated gifs? If not, what do you suggest to display an animation? is it possible?
Hi,Sorry,It can not support to display animated gifs. displaying an animation need other support, and TFT shield V2.0 can not provide support. It can display the image 2~3 seconds per one.maybe its new revision can display animated gifs later~thanks
Can this show what a camera sees if a camera is in the project?
Add that the picture size must be 320X240.
Where do I find the support files for this product?Id like schematic and drivers and information to use it.
Hi Daniel. You can refer to our wiki(Resources) to find more useful information(http://www.seeedstudio.com/wik....
Is the 2.8'' TFT Touch Shield V2.0 compatible with the Arduino Leonardo?
Hi Don.You can use TFT 2.0 with Leonardo directly.
Hi there~ You can use ISCP pins, Or you can use pin D11 D12 D13 after you solder P1,P2,P3.Regards.
Hi there, it uses the SPI for the SD card operation. So you can use the arduino SD library. **https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/SD** . you also can refer to **https://www.instructables.com/id/UNO-R3-28-TFT-Touch-Screen-With-SD-Card-Socket-for/** thanks.
Easy enough to use, but you'll have to modify or write your own library for more capabilities such as landscape mode. My only real problem, and it's a big one, is that the shield physically occupies the entire board and covers up all of the pins.
OK, here's my solution....Sparkfun Screwshield on bottom (Seeedstudio Screwshield should work, too), Arduino Pro stacked on Screwshield, then 2.8 TFT stacked on top of Arduino. Programs fine. I like the Arduino Pro because it has a battery connector. Just plug my 3,7v LiPo battery in and I have a nice portable development platform. Only caveat is that you must have long header pins on your Arduino.
Ron, I read your question, then 10 minutes later I was kickin' around Github downloading libraries for this TFT screen and came across a possible solution for you. I didn't do any of this work, just happened to stumble across it... https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/TFT_Touch_Shield_V2/commit/f21a027d2cf3362f1ea99edba79f6e8358d9ca2c
Hello, seems that it need a bit more in-depth debugging that we can do via comments.
