The Analog 360° Continuous Rotation Servo (FS90R) is a micro-sized servo that has been built specifically for continuous rotation. At 6 V, it has a maximum rotation speed of around 100 RPM (no-load) and can produce up to 20.86 oz-in (1.5 kg-cm) of torque. It can be controlled to rotate in clockwise or counterclockwise directions with given rotation speeds. Also, there is a built-in potentiometer to adjust the stopping point of the servo motor.

Description

What is a standard servo?

A standard servo motor is a rotary actuator that is able to precisely control the angular position of the motor. It consists of a motor and a sensor for feedback position. A drive is used to collect feedback from the sensor to control the position of the motor. The commonly used standard servo, such as the Grove - Servo is a geared down motor that has a limited range of rotation (180deg clockwise/ anticlockwise) and can be controlled by Arduino to turn the motor to a given angle within the range of rotation.

What is a continuous rotation servo?

Continuous servo motors do not have a limit on their range of motion, so instead of having the input signal determine which position the servo should rotate to, it relates the input to the rotary speed and direction.
