The touch board is a tool to make your projects interactive, responsive, smart or just fun. Use the Touch Board to change the world around you by turning almost any material or surface into a sensor. Paint a lightswitch on you wall, make a paper piano or create something nobody’s thought of yet.

Connect anything conductive to one of its 12 electrodes and trigger a sound via its onboard MP3 player, play a MIDI note or do anything else that you might do with an Arduino or Arduino-compatible device.

The Touch Board uses Atmel’s ATMega32U4 Microprocessor to make the board easy to use, flexible and widely accessible. Built in USB hardware lets the Touch Board perform a variety of functions.

Questions and Answers

Hello friends, I'm planning to use this module as a mutli-channel proximity sensor. It will be connected to 2''x2'' copper plates with about 1m long coax cables. Such cable length is a problem. If I leave coax shielding floating-I get too much noise, if I ground it-I saturate sensor. Is there any way to address the noise issue? Maybe there are specific configurations setting which could help? Please advice:) Alex

You should be able to solve this problem by grounding only one end of the coax cable. Attach the shielding on the end nearest the Touch Board to the Touch Board's GND pin (in the corner next to the on/off switch). If this does not work then you can get in contact with Bare Conductive directly at for more technical help. thanks.
