This product was replaced by an updated version Bluetooth Shield V2.0

He Bluetooth Shield integrates a Serial Bluetooth module. It can be easily used with Arduino/Seeedstudio for transparent wireless serial communication.

I want to pair this bluetooth shield (with the Arduino Uno) to my Windows 8 Phone for an app to device communication. It will also have an IR circuit connected to it as well. Two questions: is it possible and does this shield adhere to the standard RFC

Hoping by re-posting at the top alerts are sent: My shield doesn't look like the one in the pictures; the board is bigger and squarer. It's labeled "Bluetooth Shield v2.0 06/12/2014". I am using the sample code for "Slave_Recv.ino" from the Github site

That worked! Thanks. It's interesting that it takes AT+ commands, not +STNA, etc.

Ditto. I couldn't get a response with just the "AT" command, so I suspect the serial connection to the shield itself doesn't work.

I got reply from Seeedstudio. It's v 2.0 and it's wiki page is here: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wik... I was able to set the name and PIN using the code from the example

I've paired the Bluetooth Shield with an Arduino Uno and have not been able to check the status (using PIO1) and disconnect (using PIO0) if the status set to connected. Do you have an example sketch?

Yes you can, but please pay attention to the occupied pins. More information you can refer to the wiki of schematic.
