Description
Grove - DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor is a high quality, low-cost digital temperature, and humidity sensor based on the DHT11 module.
DHT11 is the most common temperature and humidity module for Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It is widely favored by hardware enthusiasts for its many advantages such as low power consumption and excellent long-term stability. Relatively high measurement accuracy can be obtained at a very low cost. The single-bus digital signal is output through the built-in ADC, which saves the I/O resources of the control board.
On top of that, Grove - Temperature & Humidity Sensor uses the upgraded version of DHT11. The new version of the DHT11 module replaces resistive humidity components with capacitive humidity components. The temperature and humidity measurement range are wider. The temperature resolution is higher. You can check the following figure for more detail.
Comparison between DHT11 and DHT22
There is another famous DHT sensor on our website -- Grove DHT22. Compared with DHT22, the DHT11 sensor is more cost-effective, but the measurement range and accuracy are lower. The Grove DHT11 can be a low-cost alternative to the Grove DHT22 when accuracy requirements are not as high. Please refer to the following table for the difference between those two:

Make your own humidifier or scent dispenser using Seeeduino Nano + Grove Water Atomization, keep track of the current humidity with DHT11

With so many temperature sensors available, how should we choose the right one for our Arduino project? Well, it really depends on several factors such as what we are measuring, the degree of accuracy we need and where we may be measuring the temperature.

Different temperature and humidity sensors have large performance differences and large price differences. So how to choose the most suitable sensor for your project?

Looking for low-cost temperature and humidity sensors? DHT11 and DHT22 are the most common temperature and humidity modules for Arduino and Raspberry Pi. DHT sensors will be perfect for you. Despite being slower than other temperature sensors, they have advantages including low power consumption and excellent long-term stability.

A cube with all the necessary sensors, suitable for a wide range of applications like agriculture. Know the land beneath you!

Using the system multiple persons can share a single toilet efficiently.
