Short for Near Field Communication, NFC is a widely used technology around us. It's behind daily applications such as access control system and mobile payment system. NFC Shield features a highly integrated transceiver module PN532 which handles contactless communication at 13.56MHz. You can read and write a 13.56MHz tag with this shield or implement point to point data exchange with two NFC Shields.
In this new version, we assign an independent PCB antenna which can easily stretch out of any enclosure you use, leaving more room for you to design the exterior of your project.
The PCB comes stuck on the shield, but you can easily peel it off.
5cm max effective range
SPI pin saving interface
Serve for contactless communication at 13.56MHz
Support P2P communication
Support ISO14443 Type A and Type B protocals
This is a remote control car. Not controlled by ubiquitous remotes, like joystick, but a set of NFC cards. That makes it a challenge to rational thinking. Want it run smoother and faster? That depends on how you design the commands set it executes. Fundam

Can this be used for Raspberry Pi as well?
Hi Harshit Sharma. It can be used with Raspberry Pi,but you need modify the library. And maybe you can refer to this link: learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-nf.
Hello, I would like to know if this shield is compatible with the Arduino Uno Ethernet ? (http://www.adafruit.com/produc...
Hi.It seems something problems of SPI port via using Ethenet with other SPI devices. We are looking for a situation.
Hi, the product feature wrote that it "Support ISO14443 Type A and Type B protocols" but your wiki sample doesn't show it can. Can help to advise on how to read ISO14443 Type B tags with this shield v2.0? Thanks.
A simple way to poll for TagIDs is to use the command InAutoPoll. If you find the TagID with this command, accessing it should also be possible. When you are sure that reading is possible, just adapt the library (InListPassiveTarget etc.) to your desir
Would I be able to connect this shield to an Arduino Nano by soldering the required connections? If so, where can I find the connection needed for this to work?
Hi,Epifanio Jimenez.of course you can .but you need jump line to connect them.you can refer to our wiki:http://www.seeedstudio.com/wik
Hi,Can we use a different wire as the antenna cable? I would need to put the antenna between 30 and 50 feet away from the board. Are there any chances that it would work?
I just received a 50 cm version (and a small tool to replace the cable) from Mouser and it works perfectly well for my application.
Hi, is there a schematic or PCB for the antenna portion?
Hi.Sorry we don't provide this schematic of antenna.
Is it compatible with Arduino Due (3.3V logic, *not* 5V-tolerant) ?
Hi,the voltage less than 5v may not provide enough current.
Hello guys,I purchased this Board thinking that I could use it with I2C, UART, SPI but unfortunately I learned that it can only be used as an SPI for now... even though you are including the I2C and UART headers which are misleading the least... so
and how would this new board help me? are you planning on Shipping a free new replacement board when it's ready? if yes that's great if not then please show me how to fix the current board to use I2C... thanks and happy new year.
I've purchased this board and trying to hook it up to a gadgeteer board using SPI, but the board doesn't have the marking of the pins, and no schematics exists, can you please update the spi header here and on the WIKI. Thanks
Thanks for the answer, but it doesn't answer my question..I need the the reference of the SPI Pin on the SPI Interface on your board, just like you have in the silk of the previous verison here Answer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:34:41
I understand that the NFC shield has problems with the ethernet shield. Is this the case with the WIFI shield?
NFC shield can work well with Wifi shield, and it can work well with W5200 Ethernet well too.
This might be silly coz i have no knowledge of this but still..Can this shield be used to read a string from nfc enabled phone and send it to arduino for further computation??
Hi,of coruse you can get input from nfc phones and send it to arduino.with a happy day~
Hello.I have a question. This device Android phones and P2P communication possible? If possible, do you get the sample source, please?----------------------------------------------------------I'm sorry.I do not speak English well
I want an example of p2p source.
Any suggestion how to use the NFC shield v2.0 to read the ID of ISO14443-Type B card? Code Examples, please. Thanks.
hey,i'm sorry now we don't have a demo for ISO14443-Type card,we would take it into consideration. Thanks for your attention and comprehension.

Can this shield plug into mega2650 without soldering or hardware modifiation?
Hi,Viktor Tran. of course. This shield is fully compatible with Adruino mega 2650.with a happy day.
Hello, is it possible to buy an extra antenna for this product ?
Hi,Sorry, It can not buy an extra antenna for this product. Thanks for your question.we will give attention to this problem.with a happy day~
hello friend this team can be sent to Ecuador ..... thanks
Hi my friend, yes,we can sent to Ecuador,Registered airmail or Express as your choice.Thanks.
I'd like to extend the antenna a little bit more, so I'd like to know how is that kind of cable called to purchase a longer one.Thanks.
This cable is customized by Seeed, and we don't have a longer one. Thanks for your attention.
Hi, well, I soldered the irq-pad; but there is constantly about 3V on the pin and I cannot see any interrupt action. I even bought a second NFC shield and board to be sure about that. Is it only _attachInterrupt(0, enableNFC, RISING);_ or something els
4 steps to succeed: 1) Solder IRQ to D2/INT0 2) Attach a ISR to Int0 on PIN 2 FALLING 3) Queue up the read interrupt by readPassiveTargetID 4) After your ISR gets called (when tag is in proximity) and you do your read, queue up another readPassiveTar
Can I read also RFID tag with this card?
I'm sorry NFC shield can't work with RFID tag.
Hi, I connected the shield to an UNO. The read worked fine right away. BUT: If I attach interrupt 0 (digital Pin 2) with CHANGE, the function would be called very often (_20.000 times) without any logic I would understand. Do I miss something about the

Hi,I have ordered this NFC shield which works perfectly :-) I would need to order other pcb antennas ( 5 units ) without the shield and without the cable (only the antenna pcb is needed) , how shall I proceed ?Thanks
Please drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any question about order.Thanks.
Is it possible to use more than one reader at a time with a single arduino?
Yes, the NFC has two SS pins, digital 9 and digital 10, so you can use two readers at a time with a single Arduino.
I was wondering, is it possible to turn this device off and on? I require an NFC board that could be turned on at some specifiek moments. And the RF needs to be off the rest of the time.
Dear customer,Sorry that there is not in stock yet.
Hello, Can anyone explain the difference between RFID shield v2.1 and RFID shield v2.0?
That's interesting, I've sent an email to email@example.com.
Hi guys!Is it possible to use this reader with a raspberry (with a raspbian disitribution)?
Hi there, you can use "Notify Me" when it back will remind you immediately.
Hello Guys , Can it work with TFT 2.8 TouchScreen Shield V2 ?
It is back to stock for now.
Hello ! Is it possible to have the schematics of the board ? thanks
The schematics is available in the following link: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wik...
Didn't find PN53x board - Hello everyone - I've run into a blocker with the NFC Shield v2.0 attached to my Uno.
Background - I've had a chance to read several threads on getting connected with the Shield, and I followed all the right steps ou
Let me know if you figure this out. I am getting "Invalid ACK" when running this in SPI mode.
