Hackster Impact Summit Is Live Next Week on Oct 11-12!

There’s a free two-day virtual event happening next week on Oct 11-12 where you can explore tons of Tech4Good initiatives and innovations from a strong lineup of inspiring developers and organizations.

Hey community, we’re happy to send out our invitation to you to participate in the Hackster Impact Summit, a really cool, free two-day virtual event happening next week on Oct 11-12 where you can explore tons of Tech4Good initiatives and innovations from a strong lineup of inspiring developers and organizations.

Hackster Impact Summit is an event dedicated to inspiring developers, connecting organizations, and accelerating technological innovation. This year’s topic targets initiatives that measure, monitor and protect our earth’s air and water supply. Since the Impact Summit shares common values of #AIoT4SDGs and #OpenTech4SDGs with what we have been working on for the last few years, it’s natural for us at Seeed to become a sponsor of the summit and work with the Hackster team again to continue our collaborations.

02 Seeed Workshop at Hackster Impact Summit

Time: 11:35 AM PT on Oct 12
Presenter: Lakshantha Dissanayake

Traditionally, a development kit is nothing more than matching one or more themed modules, combining their functions, and then programming to achieve a certain systematic function. SenseCAP K1100 – the sensor prototype kit with LoRa® and AI is the one that changes the game. It is not only designed for traditional makers, but also for software engineers and system integrators with various backgrounds. With the kit in hand, you can deploy a set of smart sensors in a few minutes through LoRaWAN network or WiFi, and train your machine learning model in the featured AI Vision Camera to achieve different object detection results. It also serves as a gateway to industrial sensor nodes through which higher-end IoT solutions are built.

During the workshop, Lakshantha will walk through the steps of building a weather station by using a Wio Terminal as the main controller and various environmental sensors connected to it. After the environmental sensor data is obtained, the data will be sent to the cloud via WiFi/ LoRa® to visualize on dashboards (Azure IoT Central/ Helium Console/ SenseCAP Platform). As a bonus and more advanced content, he will demonstrate how to use the Grove – Vision AI Module to detect waste materials in rivers and lakes.
