The first edition of the Interactive Signage Contest was a huge success!
This year, we launched two contest channels, each with 14 winning spots up for grabs. There are 156 project submissions. After the initial screening, 139 projects advanced to the final round: 74 in the China track and 65 in the international track.
The creativity from the community has been incredible. Some of the cool ideas include:
AI-Powered Smart Energy Meter
Save Farming
Drone-Based Air Quality Signage Map
Zero-Hardware Offline Message
Smart Signage Sentient
The Bus Stop Mood Mirror
Interactive Approaches for Neuromuscular Patients
Smart Public Health Display for Vital Signs Monitoring
Smart City Maps
Game-Powered Ads Interactive Digital Signage
And many more!
We’re also proud that this contest brought together makers from over 16 countries and regions, truly breaking boundaries and showing how open source can connect communities worldwide.
Judging & Selection
So what’s next?
The judging process will be based on two parts:
1. Judge Panel (70%) We’ve invited 8 professional judges from different fields. Their evaluation will take place between August 18th–31st.
2. Public Engagement (30%)
This will be based on the number of likes each project’s video receives on the Seeed YouTube channel. Creators are encouraged to share their projects on social media to gather support.
Engagement period: August 18th–28th (18:00 UTC+8)
Fair play first: any projects using fake votes (or fake votes for others) will be disqualified.
