1️⃣ What is Light Customization? What options are available?
Light Customization helps you turn proven Seeed hardware into a branded, market-ready product without building everything from scratch. It offers a faster and simpler way to customize standard products for your application, brand, or deployment needs.
📜Logo branding: Add your logo through laser engraving or silk-screen printing
📦Packaging customization: Customize boxes, labels, sleeves, manuals, and outer box information.
📲Firmware: Pre-flash firmware or adjust basic configurations before shipment.
⚙️Accessories: Add or remove selected accessories based on your needs.
2️⃣ Why is sample confirmation important before mass production?
🔎 A physical sample helps you check the actual color, logo effect, packaging texture, label placement, and overall appearance before mass production. This helps reduce misunderstandings, avoid rework, and make sure the final batch matches your expectations.
3️⃣ What are the cost, lead time, and repeat order process?
🛫Lead Time
Lead time depends on the customization scope and project requirements.
Typical lead time for common services:
- Logo Customization: 5–14 days
- Packaging Customization: 14 days
- Firmware Flashing: 4–5 days
* The final timeline will be confirmed after we review your product, customization details, and order requirements.
💰Cost
The total cost usually includes the product cost, plus NRE and labor fees for the customization services you choose.
* Note: We will produce at least 1 sample for confirmation. Sample costs will be charged separately.
What is the NRE Fee?
NRE stands for Non-Recurring Engineering. It is a one-time engineering fee for project evaluation, setup, tooling, fixtures, or production preparation. For repeat orders with the same requirements, this fee usually does not need to be charged again.
🛒Need to Reorder?
After the first order is confirmed, Seeed Fusion can create a dedicated SKU and BOM list for your project, making future repeat orders easier. You usually only need to confirm the quotation, quantity, and order details.
