The EX1 carrier board has nearly the same size as the carrier board in NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX developer kit,could work well with Jetson Nano/ Xavier NX/TX2 NX modules. It provides several connectors with industry-standard pinouts to support additional functionality beyond what is integrated on the main platform board. Due to the 4G interface and nano sim card slot provided, EX1 is pretty suitable for the outdoor projects which needs long-distance communication.

The carrier board is specially designed for working with Jetson Nano/ Xavier NX / TX2 NX modules and we will not include them inside.

When using the 4G module, remember to install the corresponding software drive.

When the Nano module is connected, the mini PCIe could only work with USB protocol, not PCIe protocol. But for Xavier NX or TX2 NX, both protocols work well.

Description
EX1 is a high-performance, interface rich NVIDIA Jetson Nano / Xavier NX/ TX2 NX compatible carrier board, providing Mini PCIe (4G, TF, etc), Micro HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB3.0, USB2.0, Pre-installed USB 2.0 Wifi, M.2 key M, CSI camera, RS232, CAN, PIO, I2C, Fan and other rich peripheral interfaces. Particularly, with the help of the 4G module and SIM card, it could realize long-distance and even global communication.
Basically, it works with an NVIDIA Jetson Nano /NVIDIA Xavier NX / NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX module to achieve graphic AI applications. To be more specific, with the NVIDIA module assembled, it could support NVIDIA JetPack, which includes a board support package (BSP), Linux OS, NVIDIA CUDA®, cuDNN, and TensorRT™ software libraries for deep learning, computer vision, GPU computing, multimedia processing, and much more. It is suitable for intelligent edge devices such as urban smart parking IoT management, Robots, Drone, smart cameras, and portable medical equipment. Also, it is good for portrait tracking and suspicious object detection in special fields. Note
- If you want to enter recovery mode, follow the below instruction:
- Connect the module to the board and the power,
- Press the‘ POW’ button once to power on,
- Press and hold the ’REC’ button and at the same time,
- Press the ‘RST’ button once to enter recovery mode. (Keep holding ‘REC’ for 2-3 seconds)
