LinkIt 7697 is a co-design product by Seeed Studio and MediaTek. As the latest member of the LinkIt family, it uses the MediaTek MT7697 SoC and aims at providing lightweight IoT solution. It may reminds you of LinkIt Smart 7688/Duo, another development board which released in 2015. Both of them are born for IoT however they are quite different.
The chipset of LinkIt 7697 is MT7697, a highly integrated single chip which features an application processor, a low power 1x1 11n single-band Wi-Fi subsystem, a Bluetooth subsystem, and a Power Management Unit. The application processor subsystem contains ARM Cortex-M4F MCU. It also includes many peripherals, including UART, I2C, SPI, I2S, PWM, IrDA, and auxiliary ADC.
For programming, you can program the board with the native LinkIt SDK using GCC, IAR embedded workbench, or KEIL uVision. In order to make it easier to use, LinkIt 7697 also provides a porting layer to the popular Arduino IDE - so that you can use your existing Arduino sketches and peripheral driver libraries.
If comparing with Arduino UNO, you will find that the LinkIt 7697 is more powerful as it can run more complicated and store larger program, IoT application friendly and cost effective, you can even plug it into a breadboard directly and start your IoT project right away.

Good microcontrollerI have several of these microcontrollers. I have no problem with them.
Good microcontrollerI am very pleased with these microcontrollers. I use them for Arduino projects.
I purchased this board with MAXREFDES117. But MAXREFDES117 does not work with this board. I used Sparkfun library from https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun_MAX3010x_Sensor_Library.
I confirmed that this library worked fine with another board. (Readbear Duo)
I2C on this board is functional because other peripherals using I2C like SSD1306 OLED Display works fine.
I don't know why.
hi what is the power consumption of this board? sleep mode?Question by: John McInnes on 2019-03-07 02:14:46
Hi john, please check the Low Power Mode and Power measurement by MTK. #### https://docs.labs.mediatek.com/resource/mt7687-mt7697/en/tutorials/low-power-mode-and-power-measurement ####Answer by: admin on 2019-03-08 03:28:13
Srs Seeed Hello, I bought some of this modules and already got the SDK. But i can not find the original project loaded by default in the HDK 7697. Can yours share the link to this project ?Question by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:30:38
Hi Dear Customer, here is the link for different development environment options https://docs.labs.mediatek.com/resource/mt7687-mt7697/en/get-started-linkit-7697-hdk thanks. BillAnswer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:30:38

Hi there~ Bluetooth : No. LinkIt 7697 does not support A2DP. Wi-Fi: Yes. You can pretty much send any thing via Wi-Fi. However, you have be aware the fact that LinkIt 7697 does not have an audio interface such as I2S or TDM.Answer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:30:38
LinkIt 7697 Arduino cannot work as an I2C slave. I cannot use the function: Wire.begin(Slave_address), it will be compiler error, please check.Question by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:29:28
Hi,jia-Ning,have you installed related library correctely? please install it under directory arduino/libraries,Regards~!Answer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:29:28
I am using Linkit7697 with GCC compiler. After compilation when i am trying to upload binary in linkit7697 module using "mt76x7-flash-tool", after downloding Error page shows but there is no error mentioned.Question by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:24:20
Hi there, I follow the procedure and it works well. please follow https://docs.labs.mediatek.com/resource/mt7687-mt7697/en/get-started-linkit-7697-hdk/gcc-arm-embedded-linkit-7697/download-project-binary-with-flash-tool-linkit-7697 and especially the time slot for releasing button. thanks.Answer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:24:20
I am using Linkit7697 module for my project. When i am trying to Compile BLE serial code availble on mediatek lab. I am getting error " /srv_iotadmin/Scripts/New/geneva-mp-mp3-OF_SDK4.6.1/gva/middleware/MTK/bt_notify_protected/src_protected/GCC/.... 2678: undefined reference to "bt_notify_service_task_init" . I think Bt_notify code is protected somewhere. I don't know how to enable this. And also there is no support from mediatek regarding this issues as well as any issues.Question by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:24:14

Hi there, We don’t have a specific .svd file for LinkIt 7697. You may want to take a look in the Keil Supporting Package for MT7697: https://docs.labs.mediatek.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=12878815 (The .pack file is actually a .zip file that can be unzipped to check the content). thanks.Answer by: admin on 2018-12-18 02:20:26
