Description
This is the Raspberry Pi Compute Module(CM4) carrier board, which has been integrated with Dual Gigabit Ethernet connectors, along with two USB 3.0 standard connectors and other peripherals in the compact size. With additional components on the board, it can be your perfect choice for a miniature customizable network router that performs high flexibility and security.
The Dual Gigabit Ethernet connectors on this board can be used to manage the network by your definition, referring to the use of open-source operating systems to form a routing solution, leveraging the 1Gbps speed for both ports. Unlike specialized routers designed by manufacturers, you can utilize OpenWrt, one of the open-source operating systems to build and manage your own local network.
It features a variety of components in the compact size, where it provides MIPI CSI/ MIPI DSI connectors for camera support, an FPC connector for I2C & SPI communication, one 4-pin fan connector for heat suppression, along with 4 UART IO for further usage. It is even equipped with one Micro-SD Card Slot for booting the system from the SD card, in this case, there is no eMMC storage on the Raspberry Pi CM4.
In this kit, this version of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4) includes a high-performance 64-bit quad-core processor, 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, dual-display support at resolutions up to 4K, hardware video decode at up to 4Kp60, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, dual camera interfaces and PCIe Gen 2 x1 interface.
