The Grove Chainable RGB LED is based on P9813 chip which is a full-color light source LED driver chip,can provide constant current drive and modulated output of 256 gray.Transmission by wire (DATA and CLK), built-in recycling, can enhance the transmission distance.

It would be good if you please, specify in the "Description", that it DOES include a grove cable.I thought It didn't included one, so I bought lots of cables. And when my package arrived, I noticed that It already had the needed cable included.

The LED light is always on when plugged in. How can I set it off all the time unless I turn if on?

It is a problem of your program, please modify it. And it does not have a default status.

The P9813 datasheet lists a company I cannot yet find. The datasheet indicates that the P9813 chip will drive qty 3 sets of RGB LED strings ( for a total of 9 strings ). Each string can be multiple LEDs. I cannot yet tell how much current each string c

How bright is the LED on this board? Are there boards with multiple LEDs/driver chips pre-chained? e.g. a unit with 10 already chained up would be great.

Hi,the power of each LED is about 0.1w.And it has 9 driver chips worked if you combined 10 LEDs together.

Hi Hamish , the Maximum number LED is 1024 ,they doesn't have a individual adressable , but can be controlled individually.
