Description

How to choose a gas sensor ?

Grove – Multichannel Gas sensor is a environment detecting sensor with a built in MiCS-6814 which can detect many unhealthy gases. 3 gases can be measured simultaneously due to its three channels, so it can help you to monitor the concentration of more than one gas.

This sensor belongs to the Grove system, and you can plug it onto the Base shield and work with Arduino directly without any jumper wires. The interface is I2C, so plug it onto the I2C port of Base shield, then you can start to work on it.

Why increase the concentration of CO, C3H8, C4H10, H2 but not only CH4, NH3 or C2H5OH? I see from the wiki page that the Raspberry Pi is not supported, but the sensor has an I2C interface. What does it mean? It's just a software problem, that someone can solve writing the code? What happen if I attach it to the Raspberry Pi I2C interface?

Hi,friend! We only provide software library or code examples for Arduino platform in most cases. Hence,if you want to attach it to the Raspberry,you have to write your own software library.

I used the grove and found that the data was exceeded for example with CH4 measurements up to 2 million ppm but in fact only 800ppm. how to solve this problem.

Hello, I am working a project for school and I am using an LCPExpresso board with I2C. Will this work with that? Do I have to have the base shield?

Hi Nick~Theoretically you can use it with LCPExpresso.However we only privode library for Arduino.I am not sure the Arduino Library is compatible with LPCXpresso IDE.If not you need to write the library yourself.I recommend you use Seeeduino V4.2 with this sensor.It will be simple and easy.Regards

Is there a way to issue a reset command over I2C? After so many transactions, the onboard micro gets stuck and responds to all requests with the same data. The only ways I've found to restore function is to power cycle or ground the NRST pin on the debug/flash header
